The objective of the Circular Sludge project is the development and implementation of an interactive digital platform that centralizes and makes available to the sector all the necessary information to improve the management and valorization of urban and industrial sludge in Catalonia.

This tool has been conceived as a practical instrument for companies, technology centers and public administrations, with the aim of facilitating strategic and operational decision-making and promoting new value chains in the field of the circular bioeconomy.

  • Centralize technical and regulatory information on sludge management and valorization in an accessible and interactive digital platform.
  • Promote sludge valorization to generate value-added bioproducts (fertilizers, biostimulants, energy carriers, chemical bioproducts and construction materials).
  • Strengthen the competitiveness of companies in the sector through access to applied knowledge and by providing international visibility to Catalan solutions and success stories.
  • Foster collaboration and connections between stakeholders and across sectors to boost the bio-waste ecosystem.
  • Facilitate innovation and technology transfer by bringing together companies, technology centers, technologists and public administration within a single platform.
