Online session to provide information on the Waste Cluster benchmark trip to east Germany in April 2025.

In this session held on 28 November from 3 – 4 p.m., we will talk about the challenges and the situation of the waste sector in Catalonia and we will see how some of these challenges are much more advanced and worked on in east Germany.

The session will be attended by the Foreign Office of ACCIÓ in Germany, which will present the trip proposal for us to thoroughly study the German waste sector and get to know companies, installations and environment agents in the sector and to inspire the companies and agents from Catalonia to face the future together.

The trip is planned for 8 to 11 April 2025. All the details will be provided during the session.

Visit to Aena: Discover How Waste Is Managed at Barcelona Airport

The Catalonia Waste Cluster (CREC) is organising an exclusive visit for its member companies and organisations to Aena’s facilities at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, with the aim of gaining first-hand insight into how waste is managed within an airport infrastructure of this scale. During the visit, participants will learn about the management processes for different waste streams, as well as the main challenges and opportunities in this environment in terms of waste collection, treatment and recovery. The activity will also provide an opportunity for CREC members to share knowledge and experiences, explore a real-life waste management case study and identify insights that can help drive more efficient and circular solutions across the sector.
