Visit to Aena: Discover How Waste Is Managed at Barcelona Airport

The Catalonia Waste Cluster (CREC) is organising an exclusive visit for its member companies and organisations to Aena’s facilities at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, with the aim of gaining first-hand insight into how waste is managed within an airport infrastructure of this scale. During the visit, participants will learn about the management processes for different waste streams, as well as the main challenges and opportunities in this environment in terms of waste collection, treatment and recovery. The activity will also provide an opportunity for CREC members to share knowledge and experiences, explore a real-life waste management case study and identify insights that can help drive more efficient and circular solutions across the sector. On-site activity exclusively for CREC member companies and organisations. Limited places available.

El Clúster de Residus de Catalunya (CREC) organitza una visita exclusiva per a les seves empreses i entitats sòcies a les instal·lacions d’Aena, a l’Aeroport Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, amb l’objectiu de conèixer de primera mà com es gestionen els residus en una infraestructura aeroportuària d’aquestes dimensions.

Durant la visita, les persones participants podran conèixer els processos de gestió dels diferents fluxos de residus, així com els principals reptes i les oportunitats que presenta aquest entorn en matèria de recollida, tractament i valorització.

L’activitat també permetrà compartir coneixements i experiències entre els membres del CREC, conèixer un cas real de gestió de residus i identificar aprenentatges que puguin contribuir a impulsar solucions més eficients i circulars en el sector.
