Continue joining forces and working as a team to give notoriety to the waste sector and grow the competitiveness of the companies that are part of it.
This commitment was framed by our last CREC Ordinary and Extraordinary Assembly, which took place on May 13 at the Social Hub in Barcelona.
The Ordinary Assembly started with the inspiring welcome of Elisabet Alier, President of the Board of Directors of CREC, and continued with our Cluster Manager, Carmen López-Quintana, who gave an assessment of the sector and the activities carried out so far this year, as well as with the official presentation of the entire CREC team.
In addition, we updated the status of the members, and the annual accounts for 2024 and the budget for this year 2025 were jointly approved. A budget that will be used to implement the cluster’s action plan, which was also presented in detail.
Already in the context of the Extraordinary Assembly, the highlight of the day arrived: the elections of new CREC Board of Directors. A renewed Board that incorporates Mariano Mestres (CGM) as Vice President and that welcomes six new additions as members: Lluís Anton Gimeno (CATOR), Abel Torrelles (Compost Segrià), Xavier Moreno (Datambient), Xavier Cabré (Grup Celsa), Albert Daví (MOBA-ISE), and Pilar López (Molins).
And last but not least, CREC Strategic Plan 2025-2027 was presented, as a roadmap that will set out the strategy, objectives and action plan of the Cluster in the next two years. This presentation was given by some of the Board members.
Thanks to the speakers and to everyone who attended!
