CREC is featured in the new edition of RETEMA’s Bioenergy Special Issue, a publication that brings together different perspectives, projects and initiatives related to the development of bioenergy and the transition towards more sustainable models.
Our contribution to this edition is linked to the Social Licence project, an initiative promoted jointly by the Bioenergy Cluster of Catalonia, the Cluster of Energy Efficiency of Catalonia (CEEC) and CREC, with the aim of addressing one of the increasingly relevant challenges for ecological transition projects: their integration into and acceptance by the local territory.
As part of this project, the three clusters worked together to develop the Guide for the Territorial Integration of Ecological Transition Projects, a practical resource designed to provide guidance and tools to strengthen relationships between projects, territories and the different stakeholders involved.
The concept of Social Licence focuses on the need to build trust, dialogue and participation around projects related to the energy transition, bioenergy, waste management and the circular economy.
The publication of this content in RETEMA’s Bioenergy Special Issue provides an opportunity to share this experience with the sector and to highlight the importance of collaboration between stakeholders and territorial integration in advancing towards a more comprehensive ecological transition.
