{"id":4630,"date":"2025-04-14T12:50:48","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T10:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crec.cat\/business-mission-to-germany\/"},"modified":"2025-04-14T12:50:48","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T10:50:48","slug":"business-mission-to-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crec.cat\/en\/business-mission-to-germany\/","title":{"rendered":"Business mission to Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From April 8 to 11th, we traveled to Germany, with the aim of discovering <strong>leading solutions in waste management and recovery up close.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accio.gencat.cat\/es\/inici\/index.html\"><strong>ACCI\u00d3<\/strong><\/a>, we accompanied several Catalan entities and companies to Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, so that they could learn first-hand about pioneering projects. With a key objective: to open new channels for synergies and international collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>During the mission, we visited different cutting-edge facilities in the recycling of metals and rare earths, chemical treatments and new systems for the recycling of composite materials. Specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nickelh\u00fctte Aues<\/strong>, a non-ferrous metal recycling plant with over 400 years of history.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zentraldeponie Cr\u00f6bern<\/strong>, specifically its mechanical-biological waste treatment plant (the largest in Germany), and its composting and energy recovery plant.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Heraeus Remloy plant<\/strong>, the largest in Europe for recycling critical raw materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saperatec GmbH<\/strong> cardboard beverage packaging recovery plant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We were also able to share knowledge and new challenges in the sector with clusters and institutions such as <a href=\"https:\/\/circular-saxony.de\/en\/english\/\"><strong>Circular Saxony<\/strong><\/a>, focusing on good practices within the circular economy.<\/p>\n<p>It has undoubtedly been a very inspiring experience, which has provided us with valuable learnings for the improvement of our sector, and to be at the forefront and drive
